One of the best parts of attending the #KiranHeroes4Hope Walkathon is dressing up as your favorite superhero or inventing your own! Dressing up is not required, however, you will have the opportunity to win best dressed superhero at our costume contest and recieve a gift basket FULL of goodies from local businesses!
We will also have some things to munch on including Cafe Belleza to kickstart the morning with some coffee and drinks and Ice Cream Boss ice cream truck to cool down with sweet treats afterwards.
Did you know pets can be victims of abuse? In order to celebrate our furry friends, we are inviting everyone to bring their pets and dress them up as a superhero too! Best dressed superhero pet wins a small prize.

Come out and enjoy Cary's beautiful Bond Park at the Kiran Walkathon 2017: Heroes for Hope! This year's superhero theme is to honor not only the heroic qualities present in all victims and survivors of abuse, but to also honor the heroism present in YOU - our supporters - who make it possible for Kiran to do what we do best.
Many people think of self-defense as a karate kick or jab to an attacker. But self-defense actually means doing everything possible to avoid fighting someone who threatens or attacks you. Self-defense is not about using your fists - it's about using your smarts.
As part of our "Love Shouldn't Hurt" workshop, Kiran is teaming up with Damsels in Defense to equip, empower, and educate our teen girls on how to best protect themselves and give you peace of mind about their safety.
